No Child Left Hungry

Our History

A Gift of Love is a nonprofit 501-C organization that was created by Juanita Clay twenty-one years ago. Mrs. Clay worked in the cafeteria at an elementary school and witnessed children stuffing food in their pockets to take home and eat later. With some of the children wearing the wrong size shoes and clothing to school daily, Mrs. Clay saw a need to help!

The Book Bag Food Program

We service over 30 elementary, middle, and high schools in Douglas County which feeds approximately 556 children every week!

Through hard work and dedication to making sure no child is left hungry, our volunteers make sure local school children are sent home with a bag of food for every day they are out of school.

What We Do

Our Staff & Volunteers

We have a wonderful group of people that dedicate their time each week to help support our mission.

Volunteers are always welcome to help prepare food bags, transport and drop bags off to the schools, help raise funds, and anything else that is needed to help feed the children in our program.
